At Logistics Leaders MENA 2025, our Chief Commercial Officer, Carsten Nørland, joined industry leaders to discuss the trends shaping the future of logistics across the region. Speaking on the Investing in the Future of Logistics panel, he shared insights on how strategic infrastructure, advanced cargo capacity, and multimodal connectivity are strengthening Abu Dhabi’s position as one of the region’s most competitive and future-focused global trade hubs. He also highlighted how Abu Dhabi Airports is supporting Abu Dhabi’s economic diversification strategy through major infrastructure investments, enhanced cargo and free zone capabilities, and the deployment of next-generation digital logistics platforms. This next-generation system will enable autonomous decision making, enhance efficiency, and improve On-Time Performance (OTP) across the entire aviation ecosystem. Abu Dhabi Airports Free Zone has broken ground on Business Park 2, a new development comprising two commercial buildings located opposite Business Park 1 near Terminal A. The project responds to strong market demand, with Business Park 1 now at full occupancy and continued interest from companies seeking high quality office space in Abu Dhabi’s free zones. Planned for completion in Q1 2027, Business Park 2 will offer flexible workspace options, ground floor retail, executive meeting facilities, and basement parking designed to accommodate a wide range of operational needs. We are taking significant steps toward enabling the infrastructure required for eVTOL deployment in Abu Dhabi. In partnership with BETA TECHNOLOGIES, we have completed the installation of the UAE’s first eVTOL charging station at Al Bateen Executive Airport (AZI), a major milestone in enabling the future of electric air taxi operations across the emirate. This achievement follows a series of successful flight tests conducted at both Al Bateen Executive Airport (AZI) and Al Ain International Airport (AAN) using the Archer Midnight aircraft. As part of the wider ecosystem supporting a connected network of vertiports in Abu Dhabi, we continue to work closely with leading global partners to advance the systems, facilities, and capabilities that will shape the future of next-generation mobility and integrate eVTOL operations into the aviation landscape. تمضي مطارات أبوظبي قدماً نحو تمكين البنية التحتية اللازمة لتشغيل الطائرات الكهربائية العمودية في الإمارة.   حيث أتممنا بالتعاون مع شركة BETA Technologies تركيب أول محطة شحن للطائرات الكهربائية العمودية في دولة الإمارات بمطار البطين للطيران الخاص، وهو إنجاز مهم يمهد لمستقبل عمليات التاكسي الجوي الكهربائي في إمارة أبوظبي.   ويأتي هذا الإنجاز بعد سلسلة من التجارب الناجحة للطائرات الكهربائية العمودية في مطاري البطين للطيران الخاص والعين الدولي باستخدام طائرة Archer Midnight.   تأتي هذه الخطوة ضمن جهودنا الرامية لتأسيس منظومة متكاملة لدعم الطائرات الكهربائية العمودية بالتعاون مع شركاء عالميين، بما يساهم في تعزيز بنية النقل الذكي وفتح آفاق جديدة للتنقل المستدام في الإمارة.

Abu Dhabi Airports signed two MoUs at Dubai Airshow 2025 with The Sanad Group, the global aerospace engineering and leasing solutions leader, and Sindan UAE, a UAE-based technology company specialising in AI-powered additive manufacturing and industrial automation. These partnerships will accelerate the development of Al Ain Aerospace Park as a world-class hub for aviation, engineering, and advanced technology.   These agreements strengthen our strategic focus on Al Ain Region as a centre for high-value aviation services and emerging industries.
