I have been a type 1 diabetic since I was 11 months old. In October of 2013, my kidneys failed and I started dialysis. Needless to say, food is extremely important to my well being and in fact, my life. Add to that, 2 boys and a husband. One gluten free and one with heart issues. I plan my menus a month at a time, print them and post them on the refrigerator for everyone to see. The import feature allows me to add recipes from my dialysis center’s website and the nutrition calculator has helped with knowing the carbohydrate in each serving so I can successfully use my insulin pump to give the correct amount of insulin. They say that knowledge is power, and in this case, it is a lifesaver as well. The organization that the Plan to Eat app allows me to have is a true time and energy saver. In addition, I can plan my monthly meals, convert that to a shopping list, and even order my groceries from that list so that I’m sure that I have everything I need when I go to cook it.When I have needed support for the app, I simply send an email and the staff literally gets back to me the same day and has answered my questions, each and every time. When I’m in the kitchen, I simply look at my scheduled meal, click on it, the recipe comes up and I can start cooking. I highly recommend this app, the company, the features and will continue to use it for years to come.
