We’re supporting investment in Germany 🤝 Deutsche Bank and DWS Group have signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Al Mirqab Capital supporting the transformation of the German and broader European economy. The German Opportunities Mandate will initially target an investment amount of EUR 1 billion across a broad range of industries, such as energy, transportation, defence and technology. It is a partnership with Al Mirqab Capital, a Doha-based private family office, with DWS acting as the investment manager in close cooperation with Deutsche Bank’s Corporate Bank and Investment Bank franchise. Europe’s economy continues to grow and benefit from the recent momentum shift, and as the continent’s strongest economy, Germany offers a strong backdrop for private capital investment opportunities in the upcoming years. 💬 Christian Sewing, CEO at Deutsche Bank commented: “Germany is firmly back on the agenda for international investors - as a stable, reliable partner and an attractive growth case. We are honored that Al Mirqab Capital choose Deutsche Bank and DWS to provide access to this growth story.” Read more in the media release via the link in the comments 👇

🏚️ Buildings that heal themselves? Walls grown from mushrooms? It’s not science fiction – it’s the future of construction. The construction sector drives nearly 40% of global energy-related CO₂ emissions. This is a challenge – and a huge opportunity for change. Supporting the transition to a greener economy means championing ideas that rewrite the rules of how we build. Our team delved into the groundbreaking solutions making sustainable construction a reality. These innovations show the power of collaboration between finance, science and industry. In the article, you’ll discover: ➡️ Self-healing concrete – concrete that repairs its own cracks, boosting durability and safety. ➡️ AI-powered design – artificial intelligence optimising building plans to cut waste and energy use. ➡️ Bio-based materials – natural materials like mycelium (fungi roots) grown into durable, fire-resistant and compostable components. Read the full story in our latest What Next edition via the link in the comments and tell us: which innovation will shape tomorrow’s cities? 👇

🎨 We’re thrilled to announce that Lucia Tallová has been named Deutsche Bank's "Artist of the Year" 2026! Born in Bratislava, Slovakia, she graduated from the local Academy of Fine Arts and gained international recognition in 2022 through her participation in the 16th Lyon Biennale. Her often room-filling installations resemble surreal tableaux that explore memory, human and geological history, and develop new forms of storytelling and archiving. Launched in 2010, the “Artist of the Year” award recognises promising artists who have already created work of artistic and social relevance, integrating the two core areas of the Deutsche Bank Collection: works on paper and photography. Lucia Tallová was nominated by Sam Bardaouil and Till Fellrath, directors of the Hamburger Bahnhof – Museum für Gegenwart – Berlin and founders of the curatorial platform Art Reoriented. We can’t wait to see how she will transform the space of PalaisPopulaire next year! 📸: Miro Nota

🌍 Supporting the global transformation: Deutsche Bank sets new sustainable and transition finance target Following the announcement of our strategy and financial targets for 2026–2028, we are taking another decisive step toward shaping a sustainable future. 🌱 🎯 Deutsche Bank has set a new cumulative €900 billion sustainable and transition finance target (ex-DWS) for the period from 2020 to the end of 2030, reinforcing our role as a trusted partner in the global transformation. This updated ambition includes €440 billion already achieved in Sustainable Finance and ESG Investments through Q3 2025. 📑 To support this target, we have published our initial Transition Finance Framework, defining clear rules for financing credible net-zero transitions in hard-to-abate sectors. This framework enables us to mobilise capital at scale for technologies that cut emissions and strengthen resilience, helping clients enhance their transition maturity. In addition, we are introducing a nature ambition to facilitate 300 transactions by the end of 2027, supporting biodiversity as well as ecosystem conservation and restoration in alignment with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Learn more about our sustainability strategy and Transition Finance Framework. Link in the comments 👇
