À propos
The ICC International Court of Arbitration® is an autonomous body of the International Chamber of Commerce. As the most preferred and widely used arbitration institution, the Court’s function is to supervise and administer arbitrations throughout all stages of the process. All proceedings are conducted under ICC Rules of Arbitration, which only the Court is empowered and authorised to administer. Most importantly, there are no restrictions as to nationality of parties or arbitrators, location, language or law, making ICC Arbitration a reliable and just alternative to court litigation.

On 14 November, the 2025 ICC India Arbitration Conference took place in Mumbai 📍 Arbitrators, legal practitioners, and industry experts gathered for an interesting day on the emerging issues and trends shaping both international and domestic arbitration landscapes, tailored for the Indian market. Claudia Salomon (President, ICC International Court of Arbitration), Tejus Chauhan (Director, Arbitration & ADR, South Asia, ICC Dispute Resolution Services), and Dr Birendra Saraf (Advocate General, State of Maharashtra) opened the conference with a speech, after which three panel discussions took place. Our main takeaways are: 1️⃣ The recent judicial developments and upcoming policy reforms are constantly shaping India’s arbitration framework, emphasising that procedural integrity, effective resolution, and due process standards remain central to building a resilient dispute-resolution ecosystem. 2️⃣ Understanding and keeping abreast of different cross-jurisdictional trends are increasingly essential for practitioners and in-house counsel in navigating regulatory shifts and enforcement challenges of international arbitration. 3️⃣ Efficient case management, clarity in procedural frameworks, and early issue identification are crucial in construction disputes, especially given the influx of investments in India's infrastructure industries. 4️⃣ The mock ICC Court Session offered the participants an insight into ICC’s unique process in scrutiny of draft awards aimed to maximise chances of enforceability of awards. Thank you to all participants, and we hope to see you again at the 8th ICC India Conference on International Arbitration in New Delhi 🔗 https://lnkd.in/ewudSFKf
