Chief Commercial Officer @ Abridge | Strategic Growth Executive

As we head into the holiday season, I find myself reflecting on the extraordinary privilege we have at Abridge. Every day, we get to partner with remarkable customers, organizations and clinicians who show up tirelessly for those in need. Their commitment to delivering care, often under challenging circumstances, is the purest expression of the meaning of Thanksgiving: using knowledge, skill, and heart to make another person’s life better. To all of our Abridge customers, and to the clinicians and care teams within these incredible health systems, thank you. I’m wishing you and your families a joyful, restorative holiday surrounded by the people who matter most. I’m also profoundly grateful for the opportunity to help build Abridge itself, an organization grounded in first principles and core values that transcend both healthcare and business. At the end of the day, Abridge is a company full of exceptional humans doing exceptional work, and I’m honored to be part of it. It’s been a fulfilling journey to build alongside our executive team and to grow the commercial organization. I’m deeply thankful for our commercial leadership team, for every member of the team I have the privilege to lead, and for the shared purpose that drives us forward every day. So as we pause to express gratitude, I’ll keep it simple: At Abridge, we’re grateful and we’re here to keep doing the work that matters.

  • “The question is no longer whether healthcare will change...but how boldly we choose to lead it.” —Darian Harris, MHA Thank you to everyone who joined us for The Conversation. Partnership is a privilege—and the foundation for the future of healthcare we’re building together.

Chief Executive Officer | Sutter Health Mills-Peninsula Medical Center

Still processing two extraordinary days at a conversational event hosted by Abridge. A gathering of innovators, clinicians, creators, founders, and leaders all wrestling with the same essential question: What does the future of healthcare demand from us? Alongside thought leaders like Eric Larsen, the moment we’re in as an industry was reframed with steadfast clarity: 'There were 10–20 civilization-altering innovations in 4,500 years of human history… then there was AI.' Across the sessions, the message echoed in different forms from Daniela Amodei’s (Anthropic, President & Co-founder) reminder that expertly trained clinicians and AI together can accomplish so much more than any one alone, to Daphne Koller and Greg Meyers reflecting that ~73% of drug discoveries have been accidental, born from curiosity and exploration. Taken together, they painted a vision of a healthcare system that is: • Smarter • More connected • More human • More just • More imaginative • More sustainable • More hopeful The question now is no longer whether healthcare will change… but how boldly we choose to lead it. 💡 A future where human intuition and machine intelligence don’t compete… they co-create. 🗝️ A future defined by what new capabilities AI unlocks, not replaces. 🚀 A future only possible if we lead with courage, creativity, and deep respect for the people at the center of care. At Sutter Health and Mills-Peninsula Medical Center, we are embracing that responsibility with optimism and clarity; and I was grateful to join our exceptional leaders Laura Wilt and Veena Jones, who embody what it looks like to shape the future with expertise, bold ideas and curiosity, as well as an unwavering commitment to accelerating progress for our patients and care teams. A heartfelt thank you to Shiv (Shivdev) Rao and the exceptional Abridge team for creating a space that challenged, inspired, and expanded how many of us think about the next era of care. The frontier ahead is vast and I’m more hopeful than ever about the world we can build together.

It’s hard to describe just how energizing this year’s The Conversation: Human by Design was. Now in its second year, the event brought together leaders across healthcare, AI, professional sports, and the arts to explore how we can intentionally shape technology to serve human flourishing. Being “human by design” isn’t just a theme—it’s a call to action. It means building tools and systems that deeply understand us. That meet us with empathy, clarity, and purpose. We’re so grateful to the partners, speakers, and attendees who made this possible. Here's a quick look at the moments that moved us, and a glimpse of the conversations still to come.

Kettering Health is now using Abridge, an AI-powered platform that captures doctor-patient conversations and helps with documentation in inpatient and outpatient settings. The technology eases the administrative burden of notetaking for clinicians. This enables them to focus more fully on patient care and interaction. Abridge functions like secure, virtual administrative support. With patient consent, the audio from patient visits is captured and uploaded to the secure app, where the technology then generates an organized summary that integrates directly into the patient’s chart in Epic. The technology documents only medically relevant details, then prepares a structured note within minutes. Our clinicians are already experiencing the benefits of using Abridge. Swipe to read their thoughts on how the technology is enhancing their wellbeing, increasing efficiency, and improving care—all while maintaining patient privacy and safety.
