🚍 When production meets cybersecurity The UK’s cyber and transport chiefs are investigating Chinese-made buses amid fears they could be remotely accessed or shut down. This is a wake-up call: production systems are no longer purely physical — they’re connected, digital, and vulnerable. If your products connect to a network, you’re operating a live cyber system. That means security can’t be bolted on later — it has to be built in from design to deployment. Key takeaway: 🔒 Integrated security in production isn’t optional anymore — it’s your new quality standard. But here’s the real question: 💭 What happens when that manufacturing happens in a potentially rival nation? #CyberSecurity #Manufacturing #SupplyChain #OTSecurity #Production #RiskManagement 👉 The article: https://lnkd.in/e2H494WY

💡 The Death of the Security Checkbox: Why BAS is Changing the Game? Just read an excellent piece on how Breach and Attack Simulation (BAS) is transforming cybersecurity from theory to proof. The takeaway hit hard — security doesn’t fail at the point of breach, it fails at the point of impact. ⚡ The teams leading the way aren’t just ticking compliance boxes anymore — they’re running BAS daily to validate, stress test, and prove their defences actually work. A few standout points: 🔹 AI’s role isn’t just creativity — it’s curation, making threat intel usable and actionable. 🔹 BAS turns CTEM into reality, turning “continuous” into something measurable. 🔹 Validation replaces assumption — it’s no longer “Are we safe?” but “Show me the proof.” Loved this quote: “You don’t lose when a breach happens. You lose when the impact of that breach lands.” Proof, not paperwork — that’s where real defence lives. 👏 https://lnkd.in/et9wuDmN #AGS #CyberSecurity #BAS #ThreatIntelligence #AI #CTEM #CyberResilience #InfoSec #BreachSimulation #SecurityValidation #CISO

🔍 The global cyber insurance market is set to more than double from US$16.5B in 2025 to US$32.2B by 2030, driven by rising cyber-risk, increased regulatory pressure and evolving hybrid/IoT-powered work models. Insurance Business 📈 Insurers are responding by bundling cyber cover with liability and property lines, using threat-intel partners to offer risk mitigation alongside policies. Insurance Business 🛡 For tech, security and risk leaders this means: cyber-insurance is no longer a backup plan — it’s a core part of the enterprise risk strategy. How is your organisation using cyber insurance to manage risk more proactively? #Cybersecurity #RiskManagement #Insurtech #AGSCyber https://lnkd.in/emwTZeJa

Finding great talent quickly has become increasingly challenging for many hiring managers. With longer interview processes, heightened candidate expectations, and the pressure to deliver results promptly, achieving a balance between speed and quality is becoming more complex. Recently, we assisted a client in reducing their ramp-up time by six weeks while maintaining high talent quality. This experience prompts a broader question: what are the key challenges that most teams are currently facing in their hiring processes

💻 Cybersecurity Burnout: A Risk Talent Acqu Leaders & CISOs Can No Longer Ignore 🔥 Cyber teams are passionate, but many are burning out. Tony, a cyber awareness pro at a UK retailer, recalls long nights, constant alerts, and “always-on” pressure taking a serious toll. “If you think you might be burning out,” says ex-UKHSA head Andrew Tillman, “you’re already on your way there.” 📉 ISC2’s 2024 study shows job satisfaction in cyber dropped to 66%, with burnout now a major issue. Teams are expected to “do more with less” while ransomware gangs and state-backed actors never sleep. 🧠 Younger staff are especially vulnerable. Constant alerts, blame culture, and high-stakes pressure can have long-term mental health impacts. 👩💼👨💻 What HR and CISOs can do: - Treat burnout like a critical security threat ✅ - Spot early warning signs: sleep, diet, exercise ⚠️ - Build psychological safety & celebrate wins 💡 - Consider protections similar to first responders 🚨 ⚠️ Burnout isn’t just personal — it’s a business risk. Protect your people, protect your security. #CyberSecurity #Burnout #HRLeadership #CISO #EmployeeWellbeing #TechResilience #MentalHealth #AGSCyber #CyberTalent https://lnkd.in/e3jNua5q

With modern work happening across a network of decentralized internet apps, and more varied communication channels outside of email, it's harder to stop users from interacting with malicious content. This article via The Hacker News outlines six rising browser-based threats: Advanced phishing targeting credentials and sessions; ClickFix-style attacks using fake CAPTCHAs to trick users into running malicious commands; Malicious OAuth apps bypassing MFA; Harmful browser extensions stealing data; Malicious files (like HTAs and SVGs) delivering malware; And the exploitation of stolen credentials due to MFA gaps. Attacks are increasingly happening in the browser. That makes it the perfect place to detect and respond to these attacks. But right now, the browser is a blind-spot for most security teams. Monday blues for crypto: two major blockchain networks faced security incidents this weekend, highlighting ongoing risks in the crypto space. 🔹 Shibarium, the bridge linking Shiba Inu’s chain to Ethereum, was hit by a $2.4M flash loan exploit. Attackers reportedly gained validator control to drain assets. In response, Shiba Inu developers paused staking, secured funds in a multisig hardware wallet, and are working with investigators—while remaining open to negotiating with the attacker. 🔹 Monero (XMR), the leading privacy coin, experienced its largest-ever chain reorganization, affecting 18 blocks and invalidating 117 transactions. Experts warn that vulnerabilities targeting Monero’s network integrity could persist unless addressed. These incidents are a reminder of the evolving threat landscape in decentralised finance and the need for strong security practices across blockchain ecosystems. #BlockchainSecurity #Cybersecurity #CryptoNews #DeFi #ShibaInu #Monero #Blockchain #DigitalAssets #CryptoSecurity #Web3 https://lnkd.in/eMuXiSyK

Did you know your WiFi and Bluetooth devices are already mapped and shared in massive public databases — often without your knowledge? 😬 Platforms like Wigle.net have mapped over 1.6 billion WiFi networks and 4.2 billion Bluetooth devices, meaning anyone (yes, anyone) could potentially pinpoint your location with just a MAC address. This isn’t just a “hacker thing” — major tech companies like Apple, Google, and Microsoft run their own WiFi positioning systems, turning your router into a beacon for global tracking. Even cars and smartphones double as hotspots, broadcasting unique identifiers that can be tracked across time and place. Opt-out options like adding “_nomap” to your SSID exist, but they aren’t universally respected — and Bluetooth offers no such workaround. The takeaway? Your devices are talking, even when you’re not. From outdated encryption still in use to APIs that make geolocation accessible to almost anyone, the risks to privacy are real. Until stronger protections exist, the best defence is awareness: keep your devices updated, turn off WiFi/Bluetooth when not in use, and remember that “obscurity isn’t security.” 🔒 #Cybersecurity #Cybernews #Privacy #InfoSec #WiFi #Bluetooth #DataSecurity #Surveillance #Hacking Read more: https://lnkd.in/eCnMw2Fn

As AI-related cyber-crime becomes more prevalent, a growing body of evidence suggests that businesses are paying the price for being underprepared, with a new study from Clutch finding that almost three-quarters of firms have been hit by cyber-attack. After polling more than 400 small business owners and managers, the business services platform found that 73% of firms have suffered a cyber incident, with 55% of those occurring within the past year alone. The dramatic rise in cyber-crime heralded by AI has left the majority (77%) of business leaders concerned about keeping up with the threat landscape, and has resulted in 83% of firms planning to invest in their cybersecurity over the next twelve months.
