Allergy Partners, Chief Executive Officer and Board-Certified Allergist, Bill McCann, MD, presented at the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology 2025 Annual Scientific Meeting in Orlando, FL last week. Dr. McCann provided an overview of patient characteristics from a new retrospective study, MT RANIER. The goal of the study is to evaluate whether guidelines-based education, and/or electronic medical records alerts can improve asthma management when caring for patients with uncontrolled asthma in community practices.

We’re thrilled to welcome Dr. Hines to our team! A proud Iowa native, Dr. Hines grew up in Cedar Rapids and completed her undergraduate studies at Iowa State University before earning her medical degree, residency, and fellowship training at the University of Iowa. Her clinical interests include food allergies, asthma, eczema, hives, drug and environmental allergies, and helping patients find lasting relief through allergen immunotherapy. She provides compassionate, patient-centered care for both children and adults across Iowa. Outside of medicine, Dr. Hines enjoys spending time with her husband, two children, and their dog—often exploring local trails and coffee shops around the Iowa City/Coralville area.

Please join us in welcoming Dr. Van Hersh to Allergy Partners! Originally from Memphis, TN, Dr. Van Hersh completed his undergraduate studies at The University of Memphis, medical school at William Carey University, and pediatric residency at the University of Louisville. He went on to complete his fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at Virginia Commonwealth University. Dr. Van Hersh treats both children and adults for a wide range of allergic and immunologic conditions, including food allergies, eczema, asthma, allergic rhinitis, hives, drug allergies, and immunodeficiencies. He is passionate about partnering with patients to create personalized care plans and improving their quality of life through education and effective treatment. Outside of the clinic, he enjoys running, hiking, cooking, and traveling with his wife.

We're excited to welcome Dr. Ravindran to Allergy Partners of the Triangle! Originally from Ohio, Dr. Ravindran completed both his undergraduate and medical degrees at Ohio State University, followed by residency at Emory University and an Allergy & Immunology fellowship at UNC-Chapel Hill. Now proud to call the Triangle home, he brings a strong clinical background and personal insight to caring for patients of all ages. Outside of the clinic, Dr. Ravindran enjoys staying active with pickleball and tennis, relaxing with stand-up comedy, and exploring new restaurants in the area.

Please join us in welcoming Fnu Shakuntulla, MD, to Allergy Partners of Raleigh! Dr. Shakuntulla is a board-certified Allergist and Immunologist dedicated to empowering patients with allergic, asthmatic, and immunologic conditions through compassionate, personalized, and evidence-based care. She completed her Internal Medicine residency at AmitaHealth Saint Joseph Hospital, University of Illinois, Chicago, and went on to specialize in Allergy and Immunology at the University of South Florida. Dr. Shakuntulla brings a patient-centered approach and innovative treatments tailored to each individual’s unique needs. Outside of medicine, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons.

A Florida native, Dr. Cresoe-Ortiz trained at the University of Florida and completed her Allergy and Immunology fellowship at Duke University. She now brings her expertise to pediatric and adult patients in Northern Virginia, offering compassionate, evidence-based care tailored to each individual. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, crafting, and spending time with family, friends, and her dog. We’re thrilled to have her on board!

Dr. Anderson recently completed his clinical fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at Columbia University Medical Center and holds a PhD in Biomedical Sciences from the Mayo Clinic, where he focused on allergic diseases and airway inflammation. He treats both children and adults with a wide range of allergic conditions, including asthma, eczema, food and drug allergies, and hives—offering personalized care and advanced diagnostics like skin testing and allergy shots. Outside of work, Dr. Anderson enjoys family time, cooking, and exploring the outdoors. We're thrilled to have him on board!
