In honor of National Children’s Grief Awareness Day, our staff wrote cards offering encouragement and hope to grieving children in Southwest Florida. Each message is a reminder of their strength and resilience. This simple act reflects something we all share at Avow: an unwavering belief in our mission. A day of celebration and gratitude for our community partners! Last Wednesday, November 19, Avow recognized the community partners whose support strengthens our mission. During the day, we hosted our Corporate Partner Fair, giving staff the chance to meet our partners, connect, and express appreciation. That evening, we continued the festivities with our Corporate Donor Reception, honoring the businesses that give back to Avow through partnerships, sponsorships, and more. On Veterans Day, the Avow team held salute ceremonies across Southwest Florida, honoring nearly 800 Veterans and their spouses. Thank you to our staff, volunteers, board members, and partners who make these ceremonies possible. Avow is proud to be a 5-Star We Honor Veterans organization, committed to providing exceptional care and meaningful recognition to those who served. Throughout this month, the Avow Kids team is even more present in local schools and the community—helping children navigate loss with compassion, understanding, and hope. Our hospice house received a beautiful act of kindness: an anonymous donor left a bouquet with a simple message— “For the enjoyment of all who enter here.” In hospice care, we witness every day how small moments can bring comfort and peace. This anonymous gift was more than just flowers; it was a reminder that compassion often comes quietly, without recognition, and yet its impact is deeply felt. This morning, we came together for one of Avow’s annual traditions: Pancakes with the President! We celebrated our employee donors whose generosity helps advance Avow’s mission every day.
