  • The need to eliminate the toxic firefighting foam AFFF – a highly concentrated source of PFAS (forever chemicals) – has never been greater, and we recently assisted officials in Pasco, Washington in taking a critical step to address the issue.   As part of a first-of-its-kind program in the state, the Pasco Fire Department is partnering with the Washington Department of Ecology to collect and dispose of AFFF at Pasco’s Tri-Cities Airport, where PFD Station 82 is based. Up until a year ago, it used AFFF in its operations before new regulations prohibiting it went into effect. Now, as part of remediation efforts, our crews picked up around 140 gallons of liquid AFFF foam, which will be safely incinerated at our Utah facility.   Learn more about the effort at https://lnkd.in/eCR2csqn.

  • Yesterday, our Co-CEO Eric Gerstenberg testified in front of the United States Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works about the dangers of PFAS (forever chemicals) and how to best address them. He was one of three experts who participated on the panel as part of the “Hearing to Examine the Future of PFAS Cleanup and Disposal Policy.” As we know, and as multiple senators at the hearing highlighted, PFAS is a public health menace, contaminating the nation’s drinking water and food supply, and shortening lives. Eric spoke about our Total PFAS Solution and the successful study we completed with the EPA that proved our high-temperature, RCRA-permitted incineration facilities can safely destroy PFAS in its various forms to greater than 99.9999% efficiency (more on that at the link below). Our incinerators and hazardous landfills, Eric said, could be a key part of the regulatory framework needed to address the growing health threat associated with PFAS. The full meeting, along with Eric’s testimony, can be listened to here: https://lnkd.in/epKZD6Ec More on our EPA-sanctioned study can be found here: https://lnkd.in/euTe-UTd

  • In honor of Veterans Day in the United States and Remembrance Day in Canada, we pause to recognize all veterans working throughout our company, as well as veterans everywhere, for the sacrifices they have made and the contributions they continue to make every day. We thank all our employees who have served their country and for continuing to lead us and inspire us with all they do.

  • We’re proud to partner with communities like Little Rock, Arkansas, for their Drug Take Back Day to help residents remove unwanted/expired prescription medications from their homes. At the city’s most recent event, we collected more than 26,000 pounds, which we’ll safely dispose of at our facility in El Dorado, Arkansas. Thanks for the shoutout, The Trucker Media Group: https://lnkd.in/ekH6GUUw

As we wrap up the 2025 SEMA show from here in Las Vegas, we want to give a big thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth to say hello. We kicked off the event with a visit from The King Richard Petty and our ARCA driver Thad Moffitt, and had a terrific stream of attendees stop by the entire time. We had raffles for a new flame-resistant cabinet to help keep businesses compliant with all local fire marshal and OSHA regulations, and had the chance to show off our shiny Safety-Kleen Performance Plus monster truck (which is always a huge hit with fans of all ages). It was great seeing so many familiar faces and meeting new ones as well, and we can’t wait to do it again next year.
