Veteran Voices Today, we proudly honor Doug Longpre, Senior Environmental Specialist at Commonwealth, for his dedicated service to our country. Doug served 6 years in the U.S. Army with HHC 2/504 Parachute Infantry Regiment (PIR), 82nd Airborne Division, and an additional year with Mason Aviation (National Guard). Rising to the rank of Sergeant, he earned Combat Jump Wings and the Combat Medical Badge during the Panama campaign in 1989, and served as Senior Line Medic for A Co. 2/504 PIR. Reflecting on why employing veterans matters, Doug shared: "Many veterans gave a lot for our country. They would likely do the same for any company, given the chance."
