  • Our Columbus office hit the ground running at our first-ever Commonwealth Runs for Community 5K! 🦃🏃♀️ Thanks to our team’s generosity, we raised $1,940—enough to provide 41 meals for families in need. These funds will support food assistance programs in Jackson, Columbus, and Orlando, helping spread extra holiday cheer across our communities. The event brought together leaders from across the state, and our team appreciated the chance to listen, learn, and engage. Our CEO, John Piseck, also had the honor of moderating a panel with Tom Seguljic, P.E., Ian Hutt, PE, P.M.P., and Kristen Gudewicz O'Neill from Turin Management, which is an exciting moment for Herkimer County. We’re returning back to Herkimer County feeling inspired and motivated for the work ahead!

  • Veteran Voices Today, we proudly honor Doug Longpre, Senior Environmental Specialist at Commonwealth, for his dedicated service to our country. Doug served 6 years in the U.S. Army with HHC 2/504 Parachute Infantry Regiment (PIR), 82nd Airborne Division, and an additional year with Mason Aviation (National Guard). Rising to the rank of Sergeant, he earned Combat Jump Wings and the Combat Medical Badge during the Panama campaign in 1989, and served as Senior Line Medic for A Co. 2/504 PIR. Reflecting on why employing veterans matters, Doug shared: "Many veterans gave a lot for our country. They would likely do the same for any company, given the chance."
