CIM is proud to launch a partnership with Aviva, a Mexican fintech startup using AI to meaningfully improve financial access for underbanked Mexicans. Aviva is unlocking financial services for millions of underbanked people using a unique “phygital” approach that combines diverse applications of AI with asset-light kiosks. Unlike digital-only fintechs and traditional banks, which are both concentrated in urban areas, Aviva's is driving access in smaller cities where many remain underserved. CIM is proud to launch a partnership with Kiwi, which is bringing affordable lending to underserved borrowers in Puerto Rico where only a quarter of residents report high financial well-being. Kiwi provides Puerto Ricans with low incomes and limited credit histories with financing to build resilience and opportunity for their households. According to Kiwi, only 25% of its users have a credit card and fewer than 10% have a mortgage, so access to Kiwi's financing can put them on the pathway to improving their credit score, and accessing the full suite of financial services needed for financial wellness. On average, Kiwi says that its users improve their credit score by 40 points after their first loan. Read more about our investment here: https://lnkd.in/eG8dQgvT

Congrats to Roger Larach, Roger Teran and the R2 team! R2's new strategic partnership with Ant International positions the team to enable growth and resilience for millions more small and medium e-commerce enterprises across Latin America. Founded in 2020, R2 is a leading embedded lender that allows digital platforms to offer seamless financing solutions to underserved small businesses across the region. For CIM, this partnership illustrates exactly the kind of journey to scale that we hope our investment can enable for impactful ventures. As we continue to support R2's growth in both Chile and Mexico, we couldn't be more excited for the team's continued success.
