  • 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐭 𝐎𝐮𝐫 𝐎𝐚𝐤𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐬! Last month, our Oakland campus hosted a joyful Fall Festival filled with color, laughter, and togetherness! Participants, their families, and staff from our Avalon, Yosemite, and Nonpublic School programs came together for a day of 𝑐𝑟𝑎𝑓𝑡𝑠, 𝑓𝑎𝑐𝑒 𝑝𝑎𝑖𝑛𝑡𝑖𝑛𝑔, 𝑠𝑤𝑒𝑒𝑡 𝑡𝑟𝑒𝑎𝑡𝑠, 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑒𝑣𝑒𝑛 𝑎 𝑐ℎ𝑒𝑒𝑟𝑓𝑢𝑙 𝐺𝑟𝑖𝑛𝑐ℎ 𝑐𝑜𝑠𝑡𝑢𝑚𝑒 that added to the fun. Beyond the laughter and decorations, the event represented something much deeper — 𝐚 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐱, 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐭, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐲 𝐞𝐧𝐣𝐨𝐲 𝐛𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫. These moments of celebration and belonging reflect the heart of what happens across our programs every day. Healing isn’t only about treatment — it’s also about building trust, experiencing joy, and strengthening family and community bonds. At Fred Finch, we know that healing happens through relationships, connection, and shared experiences. That’s why our programs intentionally create opportunities for joy and togetherness outside of therapy sessions. A heartfelt thank-you to our dedicated staff, families, and volunteers for creating such a warm and welcoming atmosphere that brought our mission to life. Every smile shared represents progress, courage, and care. See highlights from the celebration below! • Fred Finch Youth & Family Services reposted this

Founded 134 years ago, Fred Finch Youth & Family Services was founded on the principle that no one–regardless of their background, financial status, or personal challenges–should be neglected or forgotten. Serving children, youth and young adults in both Northern and Southern California facing significant and complex challenges including trauma, neglect, substance use disorders, domestic violence, mental illness, developmental challenges, and poverty, Fred Finch believes that family-centered service results in the best outcomes for children and youth.   Tom Alexander has served Fred Finch for twenty-three years, thirteen as President and Chief Executive Officer. Under Tom’s leadership, Fred Finch has grown and introduced new services to serve children and families. The agency is recognized as a beacon of care and trusted partner for counties and other service providers to help the most vulnerable children and youth.   The Board of Directors and senior leadership undertook a strategic process to prepare for the CEO succession and implement a reorganization plan to reflect the agency’s goals to position Fred Finch for sustained growth and stability. The incoming CEO will work with the board and senior leadership to execute this plan and make adjustments as needed. The next CEO will assume leadership of an agency with staff who have provided decades of service to Fred Finch and the children and families they serve. With changes to CalAIM and other funding sources underway, diversifying and strengthening the agency’s fiscal stability will be a key priority for the CEO and agency leaders.   The CEO is expected to travel regularly to where Fred Finch provides services, especially in the San Francisco Bay Area and in San Diego County, to develop relationships with key stakeholders as well as represent the agency. The CEO may reside either in San Diego County or the San Francisco Bay Area.   A link to the full position specification is https://lnkd.in/gTjin_4V. Please share this exciting opportunity with colleagues who may be interested or apply yourself if interested.

  • Celebrating Connection and Care: Fred Finch & CARES staff across both regions came together for our 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐇𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬: 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐃𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 & 𝐄𝐦𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐞𝐥𝐟-𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 — an afternoon dedicated to connection, reflection, and celebration.   These gatherings provided a meaningful opportunity for our agency to 𝐩𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞, 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐞, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐧𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝑜𝑛𝑒 𝑎𝑛𝑜𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑟 𝑡ℎ𝑟𝑜𝑢𝑔ℎ 𝑠ℎ𝑎𝑟𝑒𝑑 𝑒𝑥𝑝𝑒𝑟𝑖𝑒𝑛𝑐𝑒𝑠, 𝑒𝑛𝑔𝑎𝑔𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑎𝑐𝑡𝑖𝑣𝑖𝑡𝑖𝑒𝑠, 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑎 𝑣𝑎𝑟𝑖𝑒𝑡𝑦 𝑜𝑓 𝑑𝑒𝑙𝑖𝑐𝑖𝑜𝑢𝑠 𝑓𝑜𝑜𝑑𝑠 𝑟𝑒𝑝𝑟𝑒𝑠𝑒𝑛𝑡𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑑𝑖𝑣𝑒𝑟𝑠𝑖𝑡𝑦 𝑜𝑓 𝑜𝑢𝑟 𝑐𝑜𝑚𝑚𝑢𝑛𝑖𝑡𝑦. • Community Connections in Lemon Grove! Back in September, our Enhanced Care Management (ECM) team had the honor of joining Monterey Heights STEAM Academy’s Back-to-School Night in Lemon Grove, CA! Hosted by Principal Turner and the school staff, the event brought together families, local organizations, and community partners for a fun and resourceful evening. Our Southern California ECM team — including Program Supervisor CARES-ECM Carmen Pellerin and Lead Care Manager Aniya Franks — connected with families and shared information about Fred Finch’s services, mission, and supports available through ECM.
