Epilepsy should never limit a child from reaching their full health potential. In the U.S., 1 in 26 people will develop epilepsy in their lifetime. For many kids and teens, this means missed school, sports, and precious milestones. But a seizure-free life is possible. With partnership from our generous donor community, Stanford Medicine Children's Health | Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford can create a better future for all kids with epilepsy. Support epilepsy care and research via the link below. 💜 This month, and every month, we’re all-in for kids with epilepsy. https://lnkd.in/gFfY896A #NEAM2025 #AllInForEpilepsy #EpilepsyEducation

In the United States 1 in 10 babies is born premature. Doctors don't have definitive answers about what causes a baby to be born too early. But at Stanford Medicine Children's Health, we’re determined to find out. Our vision is to drastically improve treatment options for babies born too early and predict and prevent premature birth from happening in the first place. Our success depends on accelerating groundbreaking research and clinical trials, recruiting top physician-scientists, and investing in the tools and technology our experts need to innovate. Philanthropy will be the key to ushering in a hopeful new future for premature babies and their families. 💜Learn more: https://lnkd.in/grMCD77D #WorldPrematurityDay
"Trust yourself, trust the medical team, and give yourself grace" says Nichara, reflecting on the birth of her preemie triplets this past Summer. After two months in the NICU with expert and dedicated care, all three babies are now doing well and growing beautifully, exemplifying the resilience of babies born prematurely. https://bit.ly/4pdMOGJ #WorldPrematurityDay

👩⚕️ After more than four decades caring for others as a surgical nurse at Stanford, Elaine Housten reflects on the moment when she suddenly found herself on the other side of care. Her newborn son needed lifesaving surgery, and experts like Stephen Shochat, MD, and Gary Hartman, MD, MBA, at Stanford Medicine Children's Health. Grateful for her son’s recovery, Elaine chose to give back through a charitable trust that will support pediatric surgery. Her generosity ensures that future families receive the same exceptional care. “We are so grateful to Packard Children’s Hospital,” she says. “It means so much to know this care will continue for future families.” 💙 Read Elaine’s full story and see how her gift supports the next generation of care — https://tr.ee/BnMfqEj_Jv

When Nancy Larsson first volunteered with the Association of Auxiliaries for Children, she had no idea how deeply she’d fall in love with the mission of Stanford Medicine Children's Health. Over the years, Nancy has helped raise millions to support children and families — and now, she and her husband, Peter, have found a simple way to make that impact last: naming the Foundation as a beneficiary of their retirement accounts. “It makes you feel like you’re part of each project’s success as opposed to just giving,” Nancy says. “And that, I think, is very rewarding.” 💛 See how Nancy and Peter’s gift helps children and families thrive 🔗 https://tr.ee/VJWbuQ1TcQ
