We mentioned our People & Culture report last week & shared our Heart + Soul Map. At the heart of our culture is a commitment to putting people first - recognizing their potential, supporting their growth, and celebrating their achievements. Our associates have created this culture of growth and possibility that fuels our organization and reinforces our belief that when our colleagues grow, we all grow. Note: this list does not include the hundreds of promotions within our field organization -- more on that later! 🙌

This fall, as we closed the door on our prior fiscal year, we published our first annual ✨ People & Culture Report ✨ - a look back and celebration of the incredible associates we have at the heart of our brand and everything we accomplished together. We're tremendously proud of the people centric, values based culture we've cultivated throughout our 94 years in business & we look forward to sharing more from our People & Culture report in the coming weeks. Everything in our People & Culture report is woven together through our Heart & Soul Map, pictured here, which is engrained in each and every one of us at maurices. Our Heart & Soul Map isn't just what we preach in interviews. It isn't just painted on a wall or posted on social media. It comes to life through our incredible associates' and their practices & behaviors - Every. Single. Day. 🩵

On Veteran’s Day and Remembrance Day, we pause to honor the extraordinary courage, dedication, and sacrifice of those who have served in the Armed Forces. This day is not only about recognizing the women and men in uniform but also about acknowledging the unwavering support of military spouses and families who stand behind them. We're proud to share a story from our very own Gabby Duncan, Store Leader in Minot, North Dakota, and her husband, Technical Sergeant Anthony Duncan of the United States Air Force. Huge thank you to Gabby for sharing their story & Anthony for his service! Also, a shout out to our Military ARG for the work they're doing at maurices, including a card writing event all week this week, in support of the American Red Cross Holidays for Heroes Program.

Last week our Parents ARG (Associate Resource Group) hosted our 3rd Annual MAU-LOWEEN at maurices! We have a costume competition for associates and had over 50 mini ghouls and goblins join us for some fun activities in our family room and some premier trick-or-treating 💯 🎃 Our execs joined in the fun handing out candy to all the kiddos (those with full size candy bars won the popularity contest - others take note for next year). 👻

💡 Did you know? 💡 Every first Friday in October, the world (or at least the Midwest) comes together to celebrate the timeless, cozy, and endlessly stylish pattern we all know and love—plaid. And at maurices, we never miss a chance to turn a pattern into a party! Plaidurday was born in 2010 thanks to Bugsy Sailor, a proud plaid enthusiast from Lansing, Michigan, who was lovingly heckled by his coworkers for wearing plaid a lot. One morning, he had an epiphany: why not dedicate a whole day to plaid? And just like that, Plaidurday was stitched into history. Since then, Plaidurday has grown into a global celebration of creativity, connection, and community—all wrapped in flannel. Whether it’s shirts, scarves, socks, or full head-to-toe looks, plaid brings people together in the most colorful way. 📸 Our associates showed up in style, and we’ve got the photo to prove it! Last week our top Store Leaders & District Leaders, as well as our entire Executive Leadership Team came together in Duluth for ✨ WINSPIRE ✨ -- our annual event recognizing the best of the best in retail! The team had sessions led by home office associates on Concept & Trend, Social Media Marketing, & Visual Merchandising. 🤩 They explored Duluth (& had 75 degree temps on the Vista Fleet)! 🕶️ They had themed events, danced 'til their feet hurt, shared feedback, met new friends, and CELEBRATED their incredible success! 🥂 Cheers to all of you! Thank you to everyone who helped make Winspire what it was! Here's to everyone already outfit planning for next year 🩵
