We're thrilled about the news of 20 Washington Av. S being sold to Chad Tepley of CDT Realty! We're excited about the prospect of this iconic building getting renewed life along one of the main corridors of downtown Minneapolis. This building was built in 1965 by Minoru Yamasaki, who also designed the original World Trade Centers in NYC and is one of the most unique buildings in Downtown Minneapolis. We can't wait to see what the plans are for 20 Washington Ave. S!

Yesterday we were thrilled to celebrate the opening of Lovely's Sewing & Arts Collective on the skyway level of the IDS Building! Lovely's wants to bring people together through "hands-on sewing experiences and enrichment programs for youth, teens, and adults that foster creativity, healing, leadership, and financial empowerment." Building bridges through creativity is the goal, and it's a great one! Make sure to check out their space in IDS Center asap!

20 Washington Avenue, designed in 1965 by world-renowned architect Minoru Yamasaki, is a 200,000 SF / 6-story engineering and architectural masterpiece set on almost 3 acres of land in the very heart of Minneapolis. For anyone who loves history, the stories/mystery/controversy surrounding this magnificent property are inspiring and, in some cases, shocking. After a very long 10 months of work, I am so proud to announce that we closed on the acquisition of this Minneapolis icon. For 60 years it’s been an office building— closed to the public. Over the coming months we will be revealing our plans to restore and reimagine this sensational property…to open its doors to locals and visitors from around the world. This will be a wildly exciting transformation and we can’t wait to share our vision for the next beautiful chapter of this property’s life. The past few years have been a rough ride for our city, but we’ve endured and evolved, and great things are on the horizon for downtown Minneapolis. Our city is coming back, and I’m so excited, honored, and grateful to be a part of it. To our entire team of exceptional people/experts/investors/leaders—THANK YOU—what a collaboration. Yesterday Adam Duininck spoke at a Metro Transit announcement aimed at addressing safety on the Light Rail system. Metro Transit announced that there will be an increased presence off police officers, CSOs, TRIP Agents, security officers coordinating to be highly visible on light rail during peak travel times, at end of service. “Nothing is more important to us than providing a consistently safe, clean, and welcoming experience on transit,” said Metro Transit General Manager Lesley Kandaras. “Our customers have told us they feel safer when we are highly visible, so we are working hard to coordinate and expand all our layers of official presence this winter and beyond.” Read the article here: https://ow.ly/wvck50Xr7Oo
