Renewable natural gas momentum continues across the country — from #dairies to landfills to municipal fleets. • Wisconsin: Buckhorn RNG’s new facility at the Lynn Brothers Dairy is now online — Novilla RNG's fourth operational project and another step in its plan to steadily scale dairy-based RNG development. Novilla also commenced operations of its Bellevue RNG facility in Berkshire, Vermont, this month. • Kansas: Greenview Energy and Sparq Renewables, LLC are partnering with Reno County to turn landfill methane into pipeline-quality gas, strengthening the local utility network and supporting long-term community revenue. • Iowa: A new landfill-gas-to-RNG plant is producing pipeline-quality fuel at the Scott Area Landfill in Davenport, in partnership with the Waste Commission of Scott County, Linwood Mining and Minerals, and Waga Energy. • Philadelphia: UGI Energy Services has signed an agreement to supply #RNG to the city’s #CNG trash compactor fleet — a practical, near-term deployment of low-carbon fuel in municipal operations. As #COP30 kicks off in Belém, Brazil, this week, RNG COALITION celebrates signs of RNG's position at the heart of a global energy revolution required to meet massive future demand for sustainable energy. 🇧🇷 Brazil, the seat of COP 30, has big plans for RNG. As RNG COALITION member Waga Energy recently outlined, the country's updated National Solid Waste Plan (Planares, 2024) sets ambitious goals for landfill gas recovery, targeting 252 MW of capacity by 2040.
