About us

After a century of building careers and brands under the radar, Roskam Foods is no longer the industry's best-kept secret. Founded in 1923 and headquartered in Grand Rapids, Michigan, we are a leading contract manufacturer that partners with world-renowned food brands, retailers, and food service providers to produce a myriad of frozen, refrigerated, and shelf-stable products. We run a scaled, diversified operation with over 2 million square feet of manufacturing and 50 production lines across 8 facilities in the U.S. and Canada. With our uncompromising food quality and safety standards, we have the ability to handle allergens such as peanuts, dairy, and special product types like gluten-free and non-GMO, all in a safe and controlled environment. We have a clear purpose at Roskam Foods and it's all about multiplying possibilities for our customers and employees. When we optimize the potential of our people and the brands we serve, we generate value for each of our stakeholders. We call this "exponential potential." Inherently agile and rapidly growing, we welcome the next great partnership or team member for shared success.

  • Our purpose – Multiplying Possibilities – extends far beyond our team and customers, with our commitment to doing our part to support needs in our community.       Recently more than 75 of our Grand Rapids employees volunteered at Kids' Food Basket, working on the farm and prepping and packing sack suppers to make sure children and families have access to nutritious food. Kids Food Basket provides healthy, ready-to-eat meals daily to thousands of children across four West Michigan counties.      In addition to volunteering, every month Roskam delivers 2,000 pounds of pretzels to Kids Food Basket to be repackaged and distributed through its sack supper and weekend meal programs, ensuring families have access to nutritious foods.     We’re proud to support Kids Food Basket and their work to pursue a hunger-free West Michigan and their mission of nourishing children to reach their full potential.

  • At Roskam, we deliver the quality food our customers count on every day.    Our team works hard, and recently they demonstrated they know how to play hard, too.      Our first-ever company-wide basketball tournament brought out the competitive spirit of more than 60 employees from our Grand Rapids locations. After a full day of fierce competition, the undefeated Team AFT-1 claimed victory in a thrilling final game.     Thank you to all the players and volunteers who brought the same energy, teamwork and enthusiasm to the tournament that they bring to their work at Roskam every day.    #WorkAtRoskam

At Roskam, our purpose of “multiplying possibilities” is more than just a statement – it’s embedded in our culture and how we operate. Our everyday focus on helping our people and the brands we serve reach their full potential is not only a source of pride but also a competitive advantage.   Roskam Chief Growth Officer Sarah Testa recently led an American Bakers Association roundtable on The Power of Purpose: Sharing Your Mission and Vision. Sarah guided attendees in exploring innovative strategies to communicate and embody their mission and vision and align their workforce with their values. Attendees walked away from the session with practical ideas to enhance recruitment and retention, build company culture and drive business success.   “Our purpose has had a transformational impact on our business and culture over the last several years,” Sarah shared. “Thank you to the ABA for the opportunity to share Roskam’s story and to be part of such an important discussion.” #Purpose #MultiplyingPossibilities

  • A huge shoutout to the cross-functional team behind the conception, design, installation, commissioning – and now operation – of our new granola line in Grand Rapids! In a fast-paced environment and in close collaboration with more than 70 vendor partners, this team delivered a fantastic solution on budget and on time. Their creativity, deep expertise, and teamwork turned challenges into opportunities. With long days of modifications, installations, code writing, testing, and more, they didn’t just meet expectations – they consistently exceeded them. And our new line is now running smoothly thanks to our amazing operators who “deliver the granola goods” every day. Thanks to the team’s technical brilliance and collaboration, Roskam Foods and our Customers are now positioned for even greater flexibility and future growth. #MultiplyingPossibilities #CoManufacturing #WorkAtRoskam

  • At Roskam, we’re committed to doing our part for our communities and supporting those in need. In March in Grand Rapids, Roskam Foods runners placed first in their division (companies with 500+ employees) in the Corewell Health Irish Jig 5k. The Irish Jig benefitted the Corewell Health Patient Assistance Fund, which provides support to cancer patients and their families. In San Dimas last month, Roskam employees collected an impressive 11,865 items for the Rotary Club of San Dimas Feeding Military Heroes Food Drive. This drive addressed the growing issue of food insecurity among military families and veterans. The collection helped Rotary expand support beyond the Camp Pendleton and Twentynine Palms military bases to families at Fort Irwin and Los Angeles Air Force Base. Finally, members of the Roskam Foods Procurement team facilitated a panel on Ethics and Professionalism during the Business Professionals of America for Secondary/High School state leadership conference in Grand Rapids. The BPA’s mission is to develop and empower student leaders to discover their passion and develop leadership skills, professionalism and define their career path. From running to support cancer patients to helping feed military heroes to mentoring future business leaders, Roskam is multiplying possibilities in our communities. #WorkAtRoskam #RoskamInTheCommunity #MultiplyingPossibilities
