At SOL, our mission is to redefine what’s possible in mental health care by combining clinical excellence with compassion. Our White Plains team is accepting same-day appointments both in -person and via video, giving patients evidence-based support that fits their needs. ADHD touches the lives of millions of children, teens, and families across the country. This October, during ADHD Awareness Month, we recognize the challenges—and the strengths—of those living with ADHD, while also shining a light on the importance of timely, evidence-based care. The data remind us why this matters: About 10.5% of U.S. children (ages 4–17) currently live with ADHD, and 11.3% of children (ages 5–17) have ever been diagnosed (JAMA Network Open, 2023). More than 30% of children with ADHD receive no ADHD-specific treatment in a given year (National Survey of Children’s Health, 2022). ADHD frequently co-occurs with conditions like anxiety and depression, highlighting the need for accurate diagnosis and integrated care (NIMH, 2024). At SOL Mental Health, our Child & Adolescent Psychiatry (CAP) center of excellence is designed to meet this need head-on. Through specialized evaluation, evidence-based treatment, and collaboration across psychiatry and therapy, we’re helping kids, teens, and families navigate ADHD with clarity and support. ADHD care is about more than diagnosis—it’s about ongoing partnership, compassionate care, and creating the conditions for young people to thrive.
