St. Ann’s Community joined our partners in The Alliance for Senior Care and Rochester-area legislators to advocate for the future of elder care in New York State. Did you know nearly 75% of nursing home care days in NYS are paid by Medicaid—yet rates remain far below actual care costs? As a nonprofit community, we are working hard to meet rising care demands despite ongoing funding challenges. Together, we discussed how to protect Medicaid, ensure quality care and dignity for residents, and secure fair wages for dedicated caregivers. We’re grateful for the continued support of our elected officials and their commitment to strengthening aging services across our region.
