Telhio Credit Union was honored to sponsor last week’s Small Business Capital Summit with the Gahanna Area Chamber. Our own Shanica Hampton was a featured panelist, offering practical guidance on capital access and helping entrepreneurs better understand their financing options. Supporting small businesses is core to Telhio’s mission, and we’re proud to play a role in empowering local business owners as they grow and invest in our community.

As we head into Thanksgiving week, we’re reflecting on the importance of giving back and the power of community partnerships. Recently, Telhio’s Shelly Tabar had the honor of presenting a $1,450 check to IMPACT Community Action, earned through Telhio’s Giveback Program! Every time a qualifying Telhio account is opened using IMPACT’s promo codes, we donate $25 directly to their organization. Thanks to the support of their community, IMPACT was able to raise $1,450 to further their mission of empowering families and helping local residents achieve stability and success. This season reminds us that when we come together, even small actions can create meaningful change. We’re proud to stand alongside IMPACT and all they do for Central Ohio.

We’ve recently seen an increase in fraudulent text messages claiming to be from Telhio. These messages often ask you to confirm a transaction or reply “No” — which triggers a phone call where fraudsters try to collect your account or verification information. An important reminder: ⚠️Telhio will never ask for your six-digit verification code or online banking credentials. ⚠️If you receive a suspicious text or call, do not respond — contact us directly instead. Telhio is proud to support Jewish Family Services (JFS) and their mission to uplift our community. Each year, JFS hosts SPARK!, a celebration of resilience, compassion, and the transformative power of community. Through programs like the Columbus Financial Empowerment Center (FEC), JFS provides free financial counseling, education, and support to individuals and families across Central Ohio. They help refugees settle in, support families in need, and promote financial and food stability. This is our second year participating, and we are honored to partner with JFS through the FEC and through wellness programs and events with the YMCA. Together, we are helping strengthen our community, one life at a time.
