At The Dallas Foundation, we believe that every young person deserves the tools, confidence, and opportunity to create their best life. That’s why we’re proud to partner with Big Thought, a Dallas-based nonprofit that’s transforming the way youth learn, grow, and imagine. For more than three decades, Big Thought has combined arts education, out-of-school programs, social-emotional learning, and justice-impacted youth initiatives to empower young people — especially those from marginalized communities. Through hands-on experiences, creative expression, and mentorship, they help youth discover their voice, build resilience, and unlock their potential. Our partnership supports their efforts to reimagine learning systems and expand access to opportunities that truly make a difference. A temporary disruption to SNAP benefits added pressure on families already navigating financial challenges. To help meet the increased need, The Dallas Foundation collaborated with 15 local food providers, awarding $310,000 in rapid relief grants to support communities most affected by the disruption. Last night, we were thrilled to gather with our Rising GENerosity community for the Year-End Grantee Celebration! Members awarded $35,000 grants to two incredible organizations — AT LAST!-The Urban Boarding Experience and TRAC -Transition Resource Action Center — both of whom shared powerful stories about their impact. Throughout the evening, we reflected on a year of learning, connection, and hands-on engagement. Members heard inspiring updates from organizations they visited this year, celebrated the announcement of our 2025 major grant recipients, and caught a first look at the exciting vision for 2026. Last week, the Women’s Philanthropy Institute visited The Senior Source to explore the impact of financial empowerment for older adults. We witnessed how guidance, confidence-building, and hands-on support help seniors maintain independence and dignity. This visit is a perfect example of the Women’s Philanthropy Institute’s approach: offering more than resources—bringing insight, dedication, and a hands-on approach that strengthens lives and our community. Last night was one to remember! We gathered at the Nasher Sculpture Center for our Annual Meeting and Donor Appreciation Event, celebrating the incredible fundholders, Legacy Society members, board members, and partners who make our work possible. It was a night of connection and reflection as we shared updates on our growth and vision for expanding community and donor impact across Dallas. Guests also enjoyed a private viewing of SURVEY: Antony Gormley, funded by a grant from the Jean Baptiste “Tad” Adoue, III Fund of The Dallas Foundation.
