Homer Center Stages is the community theater program at the Center for the Arts and produces quality, live theatre productions at affordable prices, by and for the greater community, and provides a venue and an experience for community artists to practice and display their craft. Saying "see ya next year" to the Fairport Farmer's Market! 👋 As a member of the Fairport Perinton Merchants Association, we joined with several other members of the Association and area vendors to help get villagers in a festive mood for their final market of the year. The market offered a variety of fresh produce, baked goods, artisanal foods, flowers, crafts, and more! Bringing comfort and coats to those in need 💙 For the second year in a row, we partnered with Advantage Federal Credit Union to sponsor the Ibero American Action League's Coat Drive. We sent volunteers to help sort coats prior to the distribution event on November 22nd, as well as volunteers for the distribution day itself. Over 1,000 people came to the drive, held at Eugenio Maria de Hostos Charter School in Rochester, to choose the perfect outerwear for the long, cold winter ahead. Those who attended were also treated to a mini-vendor fair and took home a hot meal, in addition to a “personal shopper” to help them select the perfect coats, scarves, gloves, and hats. This event makes such a difference in the lives of so many of our neighbors in the City of Rochester! Thankful for each year 💙 This week, we gathered together to celebrate each other for our annual Thanksgiving luncheon. As the tradition goes, we share our favorite dishes, by bringing in a dish to pass, and in true Summit fashion, we take a collection for a chosen charity during our Week of Giving. This year's proceeds will help support United Way. United Way seeks to improve lives around the world to advance the common good. True to their founding spirit, whenever there is a need in our communities, United Way is there. They bring a comprehensive approach to every challenge, actively listening and responding to local needs. From strengthening local resilience to advancing health, youth opportunity, and financial security, United Way is working towards a future where every person in every community can reach their full potential. Since 2002, Artist's Unlimited has opened the stage to individuals with developmental, physical, and intellectual disabilities, creating opportunities to shine in the performing arts. 🎭 Our Greece and Virtual Branch staff were proud to support their recent production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat by volunteering as ushers and at concessions. Through theater and their choral program Voices, Artist's Unlimited breaks down barriers and builds life skills by bringing together performers of all abilities. They produce full musicals featuring colorful sets and costumes, a magnificent stage crew and orchestra, and world-class performers in a state-of-the-art theater. We've been impressed with the recent work by AU and are excited to continue our partnership in 2026! Honoring students for Doing The Right Thing 🏆 As a proud supporter and sponsor of Do The Right Thing, we were honored to be at the first ceremony of the 2025-2026 school year. Kids are nominated by teachers, parents, and members of the community for doing good deeds, setting good examples, and making a positive impact. Furthering connections, together 💙 Our management teams gathered at our corporate offices this past week - an opportunity to connect and grow together as a credit union!
