The Network's EOM PP2 results show the commitment of practices in The US Oncology Network to providing high-quality care. Effective value-based care is a powerful reminder that community oncology is making treatment available to a wider range of patients who need it. During PP2, The Network hit some incredible milestones, including: ➡️ Generating $43.5 million in Medicare gross savings compared to benchmark ➡️ Helping about 1,400 providers launch ePROs to provide real-time access to urgent and emergent care ➡️ Conducting over 200,000 searches through our partnership with Findhelp to uncover community-based solutions that address health equity gaps ➡️ Completing over 1 million assessments of patient distress to expand services Thank you to everyone in The Network who made these achievements possible! At The Network, we believe that improving access to oncology care is a vital step toward making it easier for patients to get cancer treatment closer to home. A new model for advanced practice provider (APP) optimization aims to do just that. In an interview with Oncology Nursing News, Eileen Redmond Vella, MS, PA-C, Director of Advanced Practice Provider Services at The Network, discussed the results of a new model designed to improve clinical capacity, financial stability, operational efficiency, and retention. APPs often want to see more patients, but they can get bogged down by other responsibilities. Data from the new model, presented at JADPRO Live, was gathered by assessing where APPs' time goes and how their schedules can be optimized. The model also offers billing and coding recommendations. Managing testicular cancer requires a deep understanding of many different aspects of the disease, including how to deal with germ cell tumors throughout the treatment process. That's why we're proud to see physicians in The Network sharing their approaches so that more providers in The Network can benefit. In this episode of the Oncology Decoded podcast, Manoj Bupathi, MD, MS, president and medical oncologist at Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers, and Benjamin Garmezy, MD, associate director of genitourinary research at Sarah Cannon Research Institute (SCRI), are joined by Nabil Adra, MD, associate professor of clinical medicine and urology at Indiana University School of Medicine, to discuss how to work with patients who have testicular cancer.
