As families stuff turkeys and gather around the dinner table this season, cybercriminals are working on their own type of stuffing. 🦃 Credential stuffing is a type of password attack that today's cybercriminals are using to try and gain access to your data. Here's how it works: First, attackers get a list of compromised accounts from previous hacks. These lists are typically purchased through the dark web or through other hacker circles. Next, hackers employ a brute force approach by attempting to guess the passwords of these compromised accounts. Finally, once the hackers have obtained the correct login information, they can execute their attack.
