This past Friday I attended the Sarasota Women's Alliance November luncheon with guest speaker Janice Zarro of Stilettos & Sneakers who presented on Building Connection and Community, Understanding Burnout and Managing Change. This was my first time attending the SWA as a member and I am proud to be a part of this group along with my partner at Williams Parker - Elizabeth Stamoulis.

This week, we are proud to spotlight Peyton Kreuscher, who stepped up to give back to her community. At the 40th International Coastal Cleanup at Blind Pass Beach, Peyton joined Keep Sarasota County Beautiful in partnership with Keep America Beautiful®—rolling up her sleeves to protect our beaches and environment. Her commitment was clear as she dove into the effort, showing she wasn’t afraid to get her hands dirty for the greater good. Peyton’s example reminds us of the power of community involvement and how one person’s actions can inspire lasting change. #VolunteerSpotlight #Sarasota #CenturyOfExcellence #AttorneyAtLaw

Thursday evening I had the opportunity (i.e., I bought tickets) to attend Ringling College of Art and Design’s Green light Fundraiser featuring Alec Baldwin with one of Williams Parker’s bright associates, Gianna Marie Tomeo. It was a great event with one of my neighbors Patrick G. Alexander doing an excellent job as the moderator of the event. It was also great to see several familiar faces, Dana Dalpra, Lauren Kurnov, M.S.W., Ed.D. , Sara Robinson, CFRE , and of course Larry Thompson.

Celebrating Our Legacy: 1955 - 1956 In 1959, Sarasota’s bayfront was reshaped when US Highway 41—the Tamiami Trail—was rerouted from Main Street to the waterfront. The project required extensive dredge-and-fill work, cut through Luke Wood Park, demolished the beloved Sarasota Pier, and built a new causeway to the Ringling Isles. City leaders saw the reroute as a way to showcase Sarasota’s waterfront to visitors, while architects and planners warned it would forever separate downtown from the bay. A pivotal chapter in Sarasota’s growth, the reroute remains one of the city’s most debated modernization projects. Stay tuned for more insights into our history. #CenturyOfExcellence #Sarasota #legalhistory

This week, we are proud to spotlight George Parpas, Litigation associate, for his hands-on dedication to protecting Sarasota's natural beauty. George recently participated in the International Coastal Cleanup at North Brohard Park, organized by Keep Sarasota County Beautiful, an affiliate of Keep America Beautiful®. What makes George's contributions inspiring is that he didn't do it alone—he brought his son and daughter with him. Together, they rolled up their sleeves to clear debris from our beaches, showing that stewardship of the environment is not only a professional responsibility but also a family value. By involving the next generation, George exemplifies how small actions ripple outward—strengthening our community, preserving our coastline, and instilling a legacy of care for the world we share. #northborhardpard #Florida #VolunteerSpotlight #keepsrqcountybeautiful #CommunityGiveBack
