    If you don’t recap the #expowest trends, did they even happen? Another year basking in the glow of the passions and enthusiasm of founders making their dreams a reality! Many might say there was more of the same this year, but isn’t that what makes a trend vs a fad? Here’s my hot take on this year’s trends: 🍦Vices No More: Never did I ever think I’d mention nicotine and noodles in the same sentence, but here I am. Comforts are feeling less vice and more nice including Nic Nac nicotine mints, Ice Cream for Bears simply sweetened with honey and velvety noodles from Goodles in the likeness of another noodle dripping with gold nectar from the cheese gods. 🥒Picklemania Pervades: Dua Lipa isn’t the only fan of pickles - some of my favorites were the Caulipower Dill Pickle pizza, Cleveland Kitchen Dill Pickle Buffalo Everything Sauce and the inventive kelp pickles from Foraged and Found. 🥤Soda Wars Gone Wild: I AM biased, but I think we started something 😉 ‘Nuff said. 🥩Protein Party Rages On: everything is getting a protein upgrade whether it’s Sturdy pasta sauce with 80 grams (!?!) of protein from collagen, bone broth and whey, Lifeway kefir with collagen or Unbun complete protein bread. 🍜Multicultural Gone Mainstream: what once could only be found in Chinatown or another cultural pocket of a big city can now be found in your local grocery store including ready-in-minutes soup dumplings from Wow Bao, melty queso without the weird from Rumiano and Mediterranean sauces from Mezete. Honorable mentions: more mushroom mania 🍄NA wave continuing momentum 🍹, women’s wellness 💁♀️and the kid creation craze 🐯. What did I miss on my whirlwind day whizzing through the aisles with the evasive pink puffy bag? IYKYK #cpg #whatstrending #foodandbeverage #innovation
