- [Instructor] When points are added to a map an arbitrary color is assigned and a simple round symbol is assigned, as well. But we can add all sorts of our own symbols. We can use Enhanced Windows Metafiles, clip art, Scalable Vector Graphics. We can use fonts from ESRI. We can use images, PNGs and JPGs. We can even use 3D symbols. We can build logic in so it can build a symbol on the fly. There's a lot of tools at our disposal. Let's do that now. So under the Shape directory, we're going to add street lights. And we're going to add it twice, so we're going to drag and drop the street lights once, and again. So we have two, in fact, I've got two right on top of each other. You'll see two street lights layers in the Legend. So we're going to highlight one. Right-click and go into the Symbololgy. So we're going to style just one of them.
