The number of CPUs, memory, network bandwidth, and other attributes can also be customized based on the underlying physical host components that power your virtual machines. You even have an option to launch EC2 Mac instances, which are built on top of Apple Mac hardware. You can also select the type of underlying EC2 instance that powers your Amazon RDS database.
