Adding a drawing list
- [Instructor] One way Revit automates production is in the information you can pull out of linked files, such as a sheet list. Also, we can configure parameters to ensure that each sheet comes in the right sorting order. The objective of this video is to create a drawing list for a project. We'll certainly have to look at a few strategies for getting the sequencing right though. In Revit under models, go open. Browse where you're keeping your exercise files. Go to our little project, go to architectural. Grab your architectural model, and click open. The first thing I like to do is create a custom parameter. It's going to be a family parameter, and we're going to associate it with the sheets. So on the manage tab, go to project parameters on the settings panel. Click new parameter. Keep it as a project parameter, for the name, call it Sheet Sorting Order. The discipline will be common. The data type, let's make it text. Let's group parameter under identity data.
