Adding a symbol list
- [Instructor] We do need a symbol list. Basically telling people what our funny little symbols actually mean. I'm of the mindset that every single symbol should look the same and mean the same thing all around the world. But let's just concentrate on getting the symbols to mean the same thing within your firm. In this video, I'd like to create a symbol legend. This will involve bringing in annotations that are presently in our models, then we'll create a schedule where you can just add your symbols and notes. Then you can decide which one you like better. Okay, in Revit, under models, go new. For the template file, you can use architectural or click browse. Select default rte, click open. Click okay. On the view tab, notice that we have legends right here. The cool thing about legends is legends are the only views that you can add to multiple sheets. That's why we create a legend in this case, click legends. Go to legends. Call it symbols, all caps. For the scale, I'm going to bump…
