- [Instructor] Designing a smart product or architecting a smart operational process requires a more expansive perspective than usual to effectively define the project's requirements. Smart means software-defined and data-driven. So in addition to the physical, to go smart, we must consider the requirements of the digital twin, application software, and the AI at every step along the way, Value is created from the top down. We start with our value proposition, then we determine what information do we need to deliver that value proposition. Then we determine what data we need to deliver the information to deliver the value proposition. And only then do we get to our technology. We decide what technology do we need to deliver that data, to deliver that information in order to realize our value proposition.
