A quick look at the LinkedIn Learning Admin dashboard
- [Instructor] Before we dive in and start doing admin things, let's take a look at the LinkedIn Learning admin dashboard. Right now I'm inside of my LinkedIn Learning account, and in the upper-right corner I'm going to navigate to the icon that says Go to Admin. Now, if you don't see this inside of your account, then you don't have admin privileges. If you think you should, you'll have to talk to your system administrator. I'm going to go ahead and click on this icon, and this will bring me to my LinkedIn Learning admin dashboard. Here I can see that I'm a full admin and I also can see some insights into how my organization is using LinkedIn Learning. I can see the percentage of licenses that have been activated. I can see the number of people who have viewed content, the number of courses that have been completed, and more. In the bottom right, you'll also notice here some helpful resources that you can access. I want to focus on the top on the navigation bar. The first thing I see here is content, and if I hover over this, I can see my organization's library, so all of their custom content, I can see a course catalog as well as some LMS content. Next to this, we have insights. You can see the different insights here. These provide analytics on learner engagement, content consumption, and skill development trends, helping your organization to measure the impact of Learning, and then make decisions to get the most out of it. One important thing I want to point out here is that up at the top, there used to be a people tab up here as well. However, that has changed. In order to get to the people management page, you need to navigate to the far right side and hover over the Me icon. From here, down at the bottom, you'll see manage users. If you click this, this will then bring you to that people management page, which we'll look at more in this course, but that is how you get there and that has recently changed. Now to the right of this, you have the search bar where you can click in here and begin searching for people, groups, content, whatever it is. To the right of this, we have the Add button where you can quickly add learners, create learning paths, collections, and add custom content if that's something you have the permissions to do. Now, up at the top is the Help tab. This is a really important one, and I have a video going over this, but this is where you can get some of your questions answered or dive deeper into some things that you want to explore on the platform. To the right of this, we have the Me icon, and from here, you'll notice that you'll have your account settings here. You can go back to LinkedIn Learning. This is where you can get to that people management page, and also where you can sign out of your account. Also, at any time, if you go to the upper-left corner and click on the In Learning thing here, this will bring you back to your dashboard so you can return to the dashboard anytime by going there. Now, I want to also note that depending on your organization's account type, you may also have access to your Admin Center up in the upper-right corner of your account. You'll notice here I've switched over to a new tab that has a different account here, and in this account, it is an organization that's using both LinkedIn Learning and Hire products. So they have a Admin Center and that Admin Center will be available here. Here you'll be able to manage users, increase adoption, manage billing and payments, and more. So that's a quick look at the admin dashboard, something you should take some time to familiarize yourself with.
