How to configure authentication with Azure SCIM
- [Presenter] Now that you have mastered setting up your SAML SSO connection, let's take a look at the Azure SCIM functionality. System for Cross-Domain Identity Management or SCIM allows you to sync data automatically between two systems. Currently, LinkedIn Learning offers this functionality with Azure. Some of the benefits for SCIM with Azure are keeping attributes and groups up to date, automate user management for new hires and those leaving the company and provides provisioning logs. Now let's take a look at how to set up Azure SCIM within the LinkedIn Learning Admin Portal. From the admin center, you can click on me, then authenticate in the top right. Switch to the automate user management tab on the left and here you can open up the section that says configure SCIM. Can add SCIM with this blue button. Go ahead and give it a name. You can name it whatever you'd like. And you can generate token. Once the token is generated, you can go ahead and click copy to clipboard. This way it can be copied and then pasted into your Azure Active Directory. One important note while a Delta sync occurs every 40 minutes, the first sync can take a few hours depending on the quantity of data you have in Azure. Additionally, if you want to create custom attributes or assign permissions automatically, you will need to utilize LinkedIn Learning's org sync feature which is discussed in the Automate Managing Learners chapter.
