- [Instructor] When you go to New Slide and view the layouts in this menu, or when you go up here to Slide Layout, and view the slide layouts available in this menu, the layouts available are based on the layouts associated with the presentation's Slide Master. You can create slide layouts, and you can manage slide layouts. Let's go take a look. So I'm going to click outside of this menu, and we're going to go over here to the View ribbon. We're going to go to the Master Views group, and select Slide Master. This takes us into the Slide Master, and what we're going to be working with are the slide layouts that you see here in the navigation pane. We're also going to create a new slide layout. So speaking of new slide layouts, let's start there. To get us started, first thing we want to do is position where we want this layout to be.
