Installing MySQL Workbench on a Mac
- [Bill] Hi, I'm Bill Weinman, In this lesson, we'll install the MySQL Workbench Graphical Interface on a Mac. It's important that you've already installed MySQL, either on this workstation or one you may access over the network. I've already downloaded the MySQL Workbench installer on the desktop on this system. We have here open dev.mysql.com/downloads/workbench and this is where you'll find the MySQL Workbench. It'll detect your operating system, as you can see it's detected I'm on Mac OS. And if I select this dropdown, you'll see there's a number of operating systems available. But it's detected my operating system already, and I can press this Download button. Now, it's worth noting that when you press Download, you'll get this MySQL Community Downloads page, which gives you big old buttons for logging in or signing up for your Oracle account, which you do not need.
