- I said that projects get their value from portfolios. So let's delve into portfolio management a little bit and understand how that happens. So this is a reminder. Portfolios deliver value. We've seen this before, but let me remind you. Portfolios focus on business objectives. That's what you just keep remembering about portfolios is about business objectives. So you deliver the outcomes, increase customer satisfaction. Now, remember, the portfolio may have operations in it. It may have manufacturing. If it does, the portfolio manager may be interested in reducing the unit cost of the operation to make the products more cheaply, for example, right? So the objectives of the portfolio are all of these kind of business objectives. So to discuss that in a little more detail, we need to understand some specific terms.
