Managing the team of resources
- Once the results is all secured, work can begin, but success relies on effective resource management. Having people planned or equipment sitting idly waiting will not be the most effective use of resources. To manage resources effectively, project managers will need to carry out a number of important activities. First of all, review the team plans. As these are likely to have been prepared by the team, there may be things that they need to be aware of that could affect their plan. The team must understand any constraints, dependencies, and risks associated with their plans so they can make the best use of their resources. For example, your team may not be aware of another project that's providing information or products that they will need to use to complete development.
