Working with transfers and credit card payments
- [Instructor] Let's talk about making transfers across bank accounts or payments from a bank account to a credit card. We're going to click on the New menu, and then under the last column where it says Other, we're going to click on Transfers. Now, to do a interbank transfer, simply we select the account we're transferring from. Let's say we're going to transfer from our checking account which is Bank of America 9999, and then to our checking account, which is Bank of America, 1234. You get to see a preview of the current QuickBooks balances for both accounts, so you can make the decision to transfer prior by simply looking at those balances. Now, keep in mind that these transfers are not happening in real time, so you cannot use QuickBooks to instruct the bank to make these transfers. You're simply recording a transfer you already made on your own by going straight into the bank website or talking to your bank directly.…
