Footing schedules
The power of BIM. Let's start thinking about our foundations. We're going to make what's called a footing schedule, but Revit thinks of it has a foundation schedule. That kind of screws us up a little bit because there's a lot more foundations than really what we want to show in a footing schedule. So let's jump into Revit and figure it out. Grab structure 53 and click Open. Let's go down to our top of footing, makes sense. Let's scroll into this footing right here. Select it. Let's click Edit Type. What we need to do is add a unique identifier for this footing. For the Type Mark I'm going to make this one F1. This is the most popular footing in the model, so it might as well get the first shot. Click Apply, click OK. Now we'll see all of those footings, if I click that one I'm going to click Edit Type, will be F1. Click OK. Now this one's a little different because it's so far down.
