While they're not formal members of the Scrum team, stakeholders provide essential input, business context, and feedback that guide development. Effective collaboration between the Scrum team and its stakeholders ensures that the right work is prioritized, thus maximizing value delivery and alignment with organizational goals. Stakeholders are typically individuals or groups with a vested interest in the outcome of the product. This can include customers, users, business executives, regulatory representatives, or other departments that rely on, or are impacted by, the product. Their insights help the Scrum team understand real-world needs and business priorities. However, to be effective, stakeholder engagement must be continuous, structured, and built on mutual respect.
