Create a nested sort
- [Speaker] Sorting data using the value in a single field such as the total value of those orders is appropriate for most cases. However, you might also need to sort using values in a field that is not currently displayed in your visualization. In this movie, I will show you how to do that using what's called a nested sort. My sample file is 0602 nested and you can find it in the chapter six folder of the exercise files collection. In this workbook, I have ordered totals and they are currently organized by property state, then by product category. And the summary operation is the total. I mentioned that we can create what's called a nested sort, and I will show you how to do that using the fields that are already in the visualization and then show you what it looks like if you use a field that is not currently there.
