- [Instructor] In many cases, you will collect data with two numerical attributes, which you can then graph using a scatter plot. For example, if you track customer income versus the amount that they spend, which would be their sales total, you can create a plot or graph that will visualize that relationship. And in this movie, I will show you how to do that. My sample file is 08_04_Scatter, and you can find it in the chapter eight folder of the exercise files collection. In this workbook, I have a different set of data than I've used elsewhere in this chapter. I have data about my customer's income and then also the amount that they spend. If I want to see how those two relate, then I can add both of those measures to my visualization. Income is going to be the larger of the two values, so I prefer to put that on the column shelf, which will provide values for the X or horizontal axis.
