- [Instructor] For on-premises servers using Active Directory, you can set up Windows Defender Credential Guard using group policies. And with that enabled, the Local Security Authority process, and the operating system talks to a component called the Isolated Local Security Authority Process. And that's going to store and protect secrets, such as passwords using virtualization-based security, and it keeps it so it's not accessible to the rest of the operating system. So in a domain controller such as you see the one here, a Windows 2022 server, I'm going to go to Tools and go to Group Policy Management so I can set up credential guard. I'm going to expand and right-click, and choose to create a new group policy in this domain and link it here. And I'll just call this one, Credential Guard and click okay.
