- [Instructor] After you've included a citation in your document, you can then edit it. This is actually a field. This isn't static text. I can click to select its placeholder. Click the dropdown arrow. And I can choose to edit this citation. Notice, you don't have a choice to do that here. It's only on the citation itself. Not on the ribbon. If I want to edit this citation, the citation, not the source, I can choose to add a page number, for example, to a periodical or book. I can say hide the year because that's not necessary in this style, for example. When I click okay, it will be modified. But remember that I chose APA. And if I chose correctly, APA wants the year in the citation. Other choices I have to convert this citation to static text. And I might wish to do this if I wanted to be able to scan this document. If I wanted to scan this document using software because otherwise, there's no need for me to do this, when I print the document, what appears is the text that is in…
