Global management consulting firm McKinsey recently released a new industry research report, "How Beauty Players Can Scale Gen AI in 2025 - McKinsey & Company," which provides an in-depth analysis of the application prospects of generative AI in the beauty industry. In an era of accelerating digitalization, generative AI is redefining the standard of beauty. From personalized marketing to product innovation, AI not only improves efficiency but also profoundly transforms the beauty industry's business model. McKinsey data shows that generative AI is expected to bring $9 billion to $10 billion in incremental value to the global beauty industry...👍👍👍 The widespread adoption of generative artificial intelligence (Gen AI) technology is exacerbating the Matthew Effect in the beauty industry. Companies that are the first to achieve large-scale application will gain a significant first-mover advantage. Through technology-enabled innovation, they will increase market responsiveness and enhance consumer insights, thereby widening the gap with their competitors. Companies that fail to keep pace with technological change risk being marginalized in the fierce market competition. In fact, the common challenge facing beauty companies today isn't whether to adopt generative AI, but rather how to achieve scalable application amidst the rapid technological evolution. McKinsey research suggests that successful companies often employ two key strategies: focusing on the most valuable application scenarios and tailoring solutions to their specific business needs. According to its latest industry research, generative AI has been applied to over ten business scenarios in the beauty industry, encompassing everything from front-end marketing to back-end operations. Given the beauty industry's high demands for speed to market and responsiveness to consumer feedback, four key scenarios hold the greatest potential for development: hyper-personalized marketing, immersive product exploration, rapid packaging concept development, and innovative product R&D. These scenarios have varying levels of maturity. Some, such as customer service chatbots, have already seen widespread adoption, while others are still in their infancy and hold enormous potential for development. #ArtificialIntelligenceTechnology

I came across this super interesting article from Bain about GenAI in the consumer space. Bottom line - AI is reinventing how humanity interacts with technology and AI platform companies that want to accelerate AI adoption must focus on the consumer experience first. Every major technological revolution has redefined the human–technology interface. 🖥️ The PC and Windows made computing accessible to everyone. 🌐 The Internet democratized data and connected the world. 🤖 And now, AI is changing how people interact with technology altogether. But revolutions don’t start in boardrooms. They start with people. It’s individual humans: employees, creators, and consumers, who experiment, adopt, and ultimately reshape how technology gets used. That human adoption is what enables companies to scale and realize value. If corporations want to truly leverage the AI user interface to enhance productivity, creativity, and customer experience, they need to start by understanding the consumer. This interesting study offers a fascinating look at how people are approaching generative AI today. Some highlights: While 95% of companies say they use GenAI, only 35% of U.S. consumers report using it directly. Many people already interact with AI without realizing it, through chatbots, digital assistants, or recommendation engines. The key barriers to broader adoption are trust, control, and unfamiliarity. Bain identifies five segments of AI consumers, from “enthusiasts” integrating AI into daily life to “rejectors” who actively avoid it. As usage deepens among current adopters, wearable and embedded AI could be the next major accelerator. The takeaway: To unlock the next wave of AI-driven growth, companies must build for humans first, not just deploy technology, but design trust, usability, and value into every interaction.

Dont' use AI to make more, use it to mean more 3 key insights inspired by my read of the DOOH Global Summit summary last week 🔸 AI for AI's sake is a trap. Speed without purpose creates noise. Consider LVMH. They value human craft in creation, manufacturing, and in-store service. AI doesn't replace this, it buys back time for it." 📌 They're not producing more content. They're producing better experiences. 🔸 Physical presence matters more than ever. Yes, personalization at scale is powerful. But in a world drowning in automated touchpoints, real-world experiences create trust that algorithms can't replicate. Live, physical events, Out-of-home activations. 📌 The tangible builds belief in ways digital fragments never will. 🔸 Strategic vision lives with humans. AI can surface growth levers and draft angles. But it can't architect long-term brand value. 📌 Use AI to feed your vision, not define it. For marketers, it' s not a choice between automation and authenticity. You need both. Using technology to handle velocity while protecting space for the work that actually compounds: positioning, values, mission and brand trust. How do you make AI feed and serve the long-term vision of your brand ?

🌐 Humanizing Brands with Multimodal AI: The Bridge Between Data and Emotion 💡 Introduction In today’s digital world, consumers don’t just buy products — they connect with feelings. The most successful brands are no longer defined by data alone, but by the emotions they evoke. And now, with the rise of multimodal AI, that emotional bridge between brand and audience is becoming stronger than ever. 🤖 What Is Multimodal AI? Multimodal AI is the next evolution in artificial intelligence. It can understand and generate content across multiple formats — text, images, voice, and video — just like humans process multiple senses at once. This allows brands to move beyond words and numbers into a space where data meets human emotion. ❤️ Humanizing the Brand Imagine your brand interacting like a real human — recognizing emotions in customer voices, adapting visuals to moods, and generating responses that feel empathetic. That’s the essence of humanized branding powered by multimodal AI: 🌈 Emotion-driven storytelling 🧠 Intelligent personalization 🎯 Context-aware engagement Every interaction feels more natural, authentic, and connected. 🔍 The Bridge Between Data and Emotion Traditional analytics told us what customers do. Multimodal AI helps us understand why they do it. By combining data insights with emotional intelligence, brands can: Build trust faster Improve customer loyalty Deliver personalized experiences that truly resonate 🚀 The Future Is Feeling-Driven As we enter a new era of AI-powered branding, success will belong to those who blend technology with empathy. Because at the heart of every brand story — there’s a human pulse. ✨ Call to Action Let’s redefine what it means to be a “smart brand.” It’s not just about algorithms — it’s about authentic connection. #AI #BrandStrategy #MultimodalAI #DigitalTransformation #HumanizingBrands #MarketingInnovation

We've entered an age where users don't just appreciate personalization: they expect it. AI is quietly reshaping every digital touchpoint, highlighting what matters most, when it matters. But with tailored experiences now the baseline, the question for designers becomes: how do we keep up? Personalization isn’t about fancy algorithms alone. It’s about using AI thoughtfully to empower users, respect their choices, and make each interaction feel seamless and relevant. This means more responsive interfaces, smarter defaults, and experiences that adapt intuitively to users’ needs, not the other way around. For designers, it’s all about blending empathy with emerging tech: crafting journeys where users remain central, not just data points. The future isn’t one-size-fits-all, and that’s our challenge (and opportunity) to design for. Curious how you can adapt your practice to meet these new expectations? Let’s connect and share insights. #UXDesign #AI #Personalization #UserExperience

I was reviewing a recent BCG report on how AI is reshaping marketing and a particular exhibit stood out. It shows that while AI is advancing rapidly in analytics and automation, it is making far slower progress in areas where intuition, experience, and cultural understanding drive decisions. Creative development, market planning, brand storytelling, campaign orchestration, audience insight. These remain anchored in human judgement. Creativity is not simply producing something new. It draws from context, timing, memory, emotion, and the ability to interpret what is not obvious. AI can accelerate workflows and remove repetitive effort. It can surface patterns that deserve attention. But replacing lived experience and creative instinct will likely take time, if it ever fully happens. Read on here: https://lnkd.in/gee3ZwRc I keep wondering if we overestimate what AI can replace and underestimate how it can collaborate. What do you think? #Marketing #AI #Creativity #AIinmarketing

Can a narrative still be “yours” if it’s co-created with AI? 🤔 AI is no longer just a tool behind the scenes. It now shapes stories in real time, adapting visuals, music, and interactions to each user. We’ve explored this through projects like Noomo Beat, a 3D microsite where every experience is unique and responsive to users’ emotions and choices. Our take: • Personalization drives engagement. Experiences adapt to users’ moods, preferences, and behavior. • AI as a co-pilot. Human creativity still guides brand voice and authenticity. • Prototype faster, iterate smarter. AI accelerates testing and scaling of immersive campaigns. • Data fuels creativity. Insights from interactions continuously improve experiences. 𝘈𝘐 𝘥𝘰𝘦𝘴𝘯’𝘵 𝘥𝘦𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘺. 💡 The Hidden Problem with AI Tools: Underutilization Recently, I came across a post that used the same prompt across four top AI tools — and surprisingly, the results were almost identical. It was a great reminder of something I’ve noticed too: 👉 AI is only as powerful as the prompt you give it. No matter how advanced an AI tool is, without clarity, context, and intent behind your prompt, you’ll never get the best result it can produce. In other words — it’s not about what tool you use, but how you communicate with it. Over time, I’ve learned that writing great prompts isn’t magic — it’s structure. Here are a few fundamentals that can help you get the best out of AI tools: ✨ 1. Define your role: Tell the AI who it should be (e.g., “You are a senior UX researcher…”). ✨ 2. Set the goal: Clearly describe the outcome you want. ✨ 3. Provide context: Add background or constraints to guide relevance. ✨ 4. Be specific: Vague prompts = vague answers. Clarity drives precision. ✨ 5. Iterate: Refine and re-prompt — the best results often come from follow-up questions. AI is your collaborator, not your replacement. The better you communicate, the smarter it gets — and so do you. 🚀 Let’s master the art of prompting. Because the future of productivity won’t just belong to those who use AI, but to those who know how to talk to it. #AI #PromptEngineering #ProductDesign #ArtificialIntelligence #Innovation #Productivity #UXDesign
