As a working mom with two young kids, I often feel both exhausted and grateful at the same time. So many parents are juggling both work and family life. We all probably feel like there isn't enough time to do it all. The best lesson I've learned was this: whatever you do, just be as present as possible. When I'm with my kids, I try very hard to put my phone away and immerse myself in their world. With my son, it's ALL about airplanes and vehicles. With my daughter, it's teaching her new words and sounds (communications much ;) I don't take this life for granted. And while it's hectic as heck, I'm thankful for having a life outside of work. What's something you're thankful for? Let me know below! I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving and celebrate the good this holiday season!

This is so real. As a working mom, I swear half my personality is “exhausted” and the other half is “grateful beyond words.” The juggle is nonstop, emails, deadlines, tiny humans with big feelings, but that presence piece you mentioned is everything. When I’m with my kids, I try (keyword: try) to put the phone down and drop into their universe. It’s chaotic… but it’s magic. And honestly? I’m thankful for exactly that, a life that’s full, loud, messy, and meaningful.

Love this. Motherhood really is that blend of exhaustion and gratitude all at once. 💛

Jessica Chen, it is a privilege to be exhausted with the work and life we chose for ourselves. Gratitude to the universe for that. Like you, I try to be present in that moment. It's hard and I try my best each day.

Jessica Chen I remember you mentioned you were pregnant with your second child last year. How old is your second little baby now?

This hit home for many of us. There’s something so real about being exhausted and still choosing connection. I hear this so often when I speak with leaders about family, that the most meaningful moments happen in the in-between, when we slow down enough to see our children. Thank you Jessica for sharing this. It’s a beautiful reminder that leadership at home isn’t about having it all together, it’s about being intentional with the moments that matter.

As the song says, "Only one life, soon it will pass.Only what's done for Christ will last..." I am grateful and thankful for this life, knowing my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, for forgiving all my sins, and bringing me out of the miry clay into His marvelous light!
