🔍 Building Safety Regulator capacity is shaping your construction project outcomes The Building Safety Regulator (BSR) has a huge task in front of it right now in approving higher-risk buildings, regulating professional competence and monitoring building control providers. As of 1 October 2025 the BSR had 152 live new-build applications covering ~33,670 homes and 253 remediation projects with ~22,300 units. Ultimately, here’s what it means for those operating in the built environment, their teams and their clients: ✔️ Longer decision times unless your submission is rock-solid - Average determination times are already exceeding 12 weeks, and the pressure on the system is increasing. ✔️ Competence and registration cannot be overlooked - All building control professionals have to be registered under the BSR regime. Organisations must be ready. ✔️ Early planning is critical - Preparing at RIBA Stage 2 (or earlier) and submitting complete, well-structured documentation will greatly increase the chances of timely approval. enevo Building Safety is seeing first-hand how regulator capacity constraints are currently creating bottlenecks, but also the opportunities available for those who get ahead of the curve. Our expert team is helping clients establish governance, develop the digital golden thread of information, sequence their projects effectively and engage proactively with the regulator. 📣 Have you factored regulator capacity and its impact into your project timeline, procurement and stakeholder engagement strategy? If not, now is the time to ensure delays and capacity pressures don’t become risks to your project. 👉 Read our fuller article here: https://lnkd.in/e4VVPr8F #BuildingSafety #BuildingControl #GrenfellInquiry #ConstructionRegulation #enevo
