The Rockefeller Foundation’s Post

We could feed 7.86 million more children every year by shifting to regenerative school meals. At no additional cost. At #COP30, we released a new report with Stanford University that reveals the hidden costs of climate-driven disruptions to our food systems—and how regenerative school meals could be the key ingredient to creating a more resilient world. By shifting school meal programs toward regeneratively grown staples that are culturally relevant (millet, sorghum, yams) that restore soil health and support the climate, we can improve childhood nutrition, support local economies, and address climate challenges. We know this works. Now it’s time to scale it everywhere. https://lnkd.in/eZPXDh8F

In rural areas women and girls suffer the most. Regeneratively grown staples are better for the environment and it would be wonderful if schools can have their own gardens where they can grow organic vegetables and fruits. Perhaps make their own cheeses and tofu. Stop femicide! Could you vote and share the following please? Georgina is participating in the Ignite Award with her social enterprise CaseCanvas. Your vote can help her end violence against women; will you take a stand? CaseCanvas is an AI-powered app that helps survivors of domestic and sexual violence record their stories safely and effectively. This way, they no longer have to relive their trauma by repeating their story, and they receive support in the legal process. Together, we can stop this! Vote and make a difference! Every vote helps to stop violence against women. Join in, share, save lives. https://www.igniteaward.nl/finalist/casecanvas/

I am interested in partnering on the sustainable development of agricultural and livestock projects focused on producing healthy food!

We know this works. The challenge is no longer if, but how we rapidly scale the technical assistance and financing to integrate smallholder farmers into the school meal supply chain everywhere. That’s the next operational imperative
