To paraphrase advice once given to me by Prof. Sir Andy Florence, the road to lung health begins with knowing where you are, then setting sights on where you want to go.
In modern medicine this means accessing all possible biomarkers that describe the status of your lungs as early as possible, and as frequently as necessary: respiratory symptoms, breath flow rates, lung acoustics, chest imaging, exhaled gasses and volatile organics, airway lining fluid microorganisms, particulates, proteins, nucleic acids, lipids, oligosaccharides, and metabolites.
As World Lung Day 2025 gives way to the Annual European Respiratory Congress in Amsterdam, let’s make the second quarter of this 21st century the era that Respiratoy Medicine transformed lung disease diagnosis and management to simple but informed lung health management routines.
Join us at booth A09 and at our two posters to learn more about how PulmoBioMed’s ground-breaking non-invasive airway lung fluid collector can unlock molecular precision medicine opportunities in your clinical and research efforts- in a simple to use, hand-held, contamination-free format.
Today is World Lung Day!
A reminder that lung health remains one of the most urgent challenges in global healthcare. From infectious diseases such as tuberculosis to chronic conditions like COPD, asthma and cystic fibrosis, the burden of respiratory disease continues to rise. The need for accurate diagnostics and effective interventions is clear.
At PulmoBioMed Ltd. we are focused on delivering practical solutions to these challenges. Our technology is designed to improve the way clinicians and researchers collect and analyse samples from the lungs, giving a clearer picture of respiratory disease and helping to accelerate better care for patients.
These are the same issues that will be under discussion at the European Respiratory Society Congress 2025 in Amsterdam. ERS brings together experts from across the world to share evidence, debate approaches, and highlight new opportunities in respiratory health. PulmoBioMed Ltd. is proud to be part of that exchange.
We will be exhibiting at Booth A.09, where our team will be available to talk about how our technology supports research and clinical practice.
We are also presenting two posters that showcase the breadth of our work:
Poster ID 2892
Non-invasively measuring small airway RNA load and inflammation in acute COVID-19 at resource-limited primary care
Speaker: Sterghios A. Moschos FRSC FIBMS MRSB
Room PS-30 | Board 4
Monday 29-09-2025, 08:00 – 09:30 CEST
Session: COVID-19 prevention, infection and treatment
Poster ID 5314
Eliminating Saliva Contamination in Exhaled Breath Condensate (EBC)
Speaker: Michelle Sugimoto
Room PS-9 | Board 17
Tuesday 30-09-2025, 08:00 – 09:30 CEST
Session: Breath detectives volatile organic compounds and other exhaled biomarkers for detection of lung diseases
World Lung Day highlights why these conversations matter. ERS 2025 is where they continue in practice, and we are looking forward to contributing.
