Elovias SA, a company in which OHLA holds a 33.3%, has started operating the BR-040/495 Highway Concession in Brazil. From this November, the company is responsible for toll collection at the three sites located along the concessioned section, which is used by an average of 45,000 vehicles per day.

The concession, granted by the National Land Transport Agency (ANTT) and the Federal Government of Brazil, will last for 30 years and covers a total of 218.9 kilometers. The route includes the BR-040 highway, which connects Juiz de Fora (Minas Gerais) with the Trevo das Missões interchange in Rio de Janeiro, as well as the BR-495 section between Itaipava and its junction with BR-040.

This road is one of the country’s most strategic logistics axes, essential for transport and boosting tourism between two of Brazil’s most dynamic regions. It also includes an urban section in Rio de Janeiro, one of the country’s most populous cities. The start of operations on the BR-040/495 highway is part of OHLA’s Strategic Plan presented last May, which aims to strengthen its concessions division in the coming years.

This past October, we celebrated a new milestone in sustainable mobility in the United States. The inauguration ceremony and first ride of the new Metro Express Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) service in Miami-Dade County took place, and the system officially began operating on October 27.

OHLA USA, the design-builder of the South Dade TransitWay BRT project, proudly joined its client, the Miami-Dade County Department of Transportation and Public Works (DTPW), along with Mayor Daniella Levine Cava, the Board of County Commissioners, and other key stakeholders to celebrate this achievement. OHLA USA is honored to have delivered the County’s first-ever BRT system — also recognized as the nation’s longest all-electric BRT.

The project included the construction of 14 fully convertible BRT stations and the rehabilitation of 32 existing bus stops.

The 20-mile system will connect South Dade residents to key destinations, including job centers, schools, parks, shopping areas, and other transit services. This milestone represents a major step forward in Miami-Dade County’s mission to expand access to safe, reliable, and sustainable public transportation.

The new system connects five municipalities, cuts travel times, and improves efficiency along one of the region’s busiest, fastest-growing corridors. OHLA USA worked collaboratively with DTPW to deliver the project, which included the construction and rehabilitation of stations and bus shelters, a new five-level, 645-space park-and-ride garage, and extensive corridor and intersection improvements along 20 miles of dedicated right-of-way between SW 344th Street Station and Dadeland South, adjacent to US‐1, Old Dixie Highway, and Flagler Avenue.

New milestone for the Padre Anchieta pedestrian walkway (Spain)

Lighting test of the Padre Anchita pedestrian walkway (San Cristobal de La Laguna, Spain).

OHLA has completed the installation of the piece that closes the loop of the Padre Anchieta pedestrian walkway, an essential infrastructure to improve mobility and accessibility at the access to San Cristóbal de la Laguna. The milestone, achieved on the night of Tuesday, October 28, was attended by Rosa Dávila, President of the Cabildo of Tenerife; Dámaso Arteaga, Roads Councillor; and Domingo Galván, Mobility Councillor of La Laguna.

This project will transform traffic flow at the Padre Anchieta roundabout, one of the busiest points on the TF-5. Every day, more than 50,000 vehicles and 20,000 pedestrians—mostly students from the University of La Laguna—converge in this area, causing congestion and safety risks that this new infrastructure will eliminate. During the visit, the lighting system for the future roundabout was tested, and the President of the Cabildo had the opportunity to switch it on.

This November marked the inauguration of the 'reconstruction' of the Herrera Chapel at the Museo Nacional del Prado, an initiative made possible through a collaboration agreement between OHLA and the prestigious Madrid institution. This agreement—the third signed between the two entities—has enabled the permanent installation in Room 4 of works by Annibale Carracci and his collaborators.

This exceptional Italian Baroque ensemble, created between 1602 and 1605, was dismantled in 1833 and preserved since then between Barcelona and Madrid. Its recovery and display represent a milestone in the conservation of European artistic heritage. The Museo Nacional del Prado is one of the world’s most important art institutions. Located in Madrid, it welcomes 3 million visitors annually and houses Spain’s largest collection of artworks and one of the most comprehensive globally.

Congratulations 🎉👏🏽💯
